Trudy and Eian have made a wonderful job of restoring this beautiful building. They were very welcoming, and Eian took charge of my baggage on arrival and took it to our room. The room was double aspect, with comfortable seating and a modern bathroom. We enjoyed a drink before dinner in their cosy bar where you can talk to other guests, and Eian prepared a freshly cooked dinner for us which was delicious. Breakfast offered a good choice of fruit and cereals and a freshly cooked breakfast of your choice. Nothing was too much trouble. Don't miss out on the opportunity to stay a night here.
Nothing to find fault with.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the bar, with a short menu featuring fresh seafood. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area. we highly recommend this hotel for a unique and enjoyable experience.

Amazing Victorian Hotel recently renovated by enthusiastic hosts who were very accommodating and keen to see that we were happy. Dinner good and plenty of choice at breakfast.
Noise from the occasional train (as one would expect from a Railway hotel) Noisy plumbing from guests leaving early in the morning
